A ‘Moment’ Of Your Time Please

Google Image

A Friday ritual. A single photo — no words — capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

“This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man adopted from SouleMama which was introduced to others by Sarah-Jane, of Almost There.

I was asked to participate in this by Anna Sides, of The Other Side of Anna and the other great blogging members of the Facebook group Blogplicity.

If you find yourself touched by a moment and would like to participate, post your picture on a Friday and leave your link in the comments section.

From personal blogs to giants like WordPress and Wikipedia, sites all over the web — including this one — are asking you to help stop this dangerous legislation from being passed. Please watch the video below to learn how this legislation will affect internet freedom, then scroll down to take action.

I’m not in the voting district, hell I’m not in the same country but I feel just as strongly as you. I posted yesterday about the 23 year old English Student living in England, never been to the USA who is being extradited for linking his website to a site that had links to sites that infringed copyright. In the UK he isn’t breaking any laws, his website has legitimately put him through university and the USA will now put him in prison for 10 years for not breaking any laws. Its blatent abuse not only of copyright infringement laws but also of the extradition treaty between the US and UK which was supposed to be for terrorists. I’m disgusted that someone can be pulled from their own country for breaking a law in another country when they haven’t even been there. Surely that means that all the women of the world outside Saudi will now be extradited, charged and punished for driving cars, I mean it’s illegal there and we do it here. Yes that’s far fetched but seriously is it really any more far fetched than the USA kidnapping a young lad and ruining his life, just because they can.

It’s a shame what our US government has come to. Something certainly has to give, and give fast, or we are going to end up no better than other 3rd world countries…which I believe is exactly what our government wants…total control! I really need to find the link in our group to add the ‘Stop Censorship’ tags to my blogs 🙂
