NaPoWriMo Day:10 Three Little Letters

Three little letters
Proceeded to stalk me
Everywhere I went
Identical three little letters

Minute little letters

Mighty frightening
Modest little letters

Three little letters
Proceeded to mock me
Everywhere I went
Identical three little letters

Permute little letters

Jolt of lightening
Honest little letters

Those three little letters
Have struck again
And ravaged me

Those dreadful
little letters

Oh, Jenni – those dreaded three little letters . . . you wrote beautifully here of shock and heartbreak and love for this dear friend. A touching tribute to a wonderful presence lost to this world. I pray she has found peace at last . . .
I know one thing – she would be so proud of you for this poem.

  2. Bongo says:

Ohhhh Jeeni I’m bawling… I don’t even have the right words to say… we all lost one beautiful beautiful soul….and what a beautiful tribute to that soul Sancheeta Biswas.. May you be at peace in Gods hand.. never anymore pain…I miss your loving presence dearly. As always..XOXOXOXOXO

  3. Ravenmyth says:

Jenni…Sancheeta would have loved this poem for its raw honesty. You wrote what we all feel and dread to see or hear….how some letters can bring us to our knees in sadness and grief….how a community grieves the loss of so much talent and love shared. With each tear we drop we send a ripple of love to that beloved Soul…now Whispering to us on The Wind…

Thank you for the beauty of your tribute….L.O.V.E.

  4. Janaki Nagaraj says:

This is one loss that takes time to get over…though I did not know Sancheeta personally, she always called me ‘di’ meaning elder sister. Her sensitivity is so damn well portrayed in her writings…wonderful tribute Jenni.

Stand upright, speak thy thoughts, declare The truth thou hast, that all may share; Be bold, proclaim it everywhere: They only live who dare. -Voltaire
